In just two weeks, you will understand the principles and practices of Google’s latest iteration of the most popular web analytics tool used by digital marketers; Google Analytics 4.

Developed in partnership with multi-award winning digital marketing agency, Mediaworks, the Introduction to Google Analytics 4 short course will explore Google Analytics 4, offering a comparison against Universal Analytics, providing a checklist for migration to GA4, and navigating through the key areas of the tool to provide an overview of its most notable features and capabilities.

Upon completion of the short course, learners will receive a certificate of completion from York St John University.

Before the short course is scheduled to begin, you will receive an email instructing you to sign up via York St John University's learning portal. On this portal, you will access pre-recorded sessions as they are released day by day. The short course is 100% online and 100% free, and can be accessed on-demand to your own schedule before the course end date. There will also be a number of additional resources to support your learning made available via the portal. Upon completion of the short course, you will receive a certificate from York St John University to showcase your development. All sessions are pre-recorded and any additional resources provided are available online.

This course is completed through a mixture of online pre-recorded lectures and self-study reading and activities. Learners typically engage 2-3 hours each week.

"Navigating Reports in GA4" and "Navigating Explore in GA4"

Tuesday 11th April:
"Navigating Advertising & Audiences in GA4"

"Navigating Admin & Integrations in GA4" and "Short Course Conclusion”

Tuesday 18th April:
Last day to access the course

The final date to access course content is Tuesday 18th April. After this date, materials will be unavailable. Learners must have accessed the course and marked their activity as complete via the York St John online learning platform by this date in order to receive their certificate of completion.

The short course is not assessed, though in order to receive a certificate from York St John University, learners are expected to complete 100% of the course. In order to log your completion, you must mark each 'activity' as complete, as you proceed. This will be explained as you start the course via the first session.

This short course has been developed by a team with extensive academic and professional experience in digital marketing. Hosted by Digital Knowledge Lab, in this short course we will be joined by the Head of Insights and Innovation at Mediaworks, one of the UK's leading digital marketing agencies.
